Honourable Shri Ramkishore (Nano) Kawre
Minister of State (Independent Charge), Department of AYUSH

Shri Ramkishore (Nano) Kawre was born on November 9, 1976 in Village Bagholi, District Balaghat. His father is Shri Shivlal Kawre and mother is Smt. Ratta Kawre. Mr. Kawre is the youngest of 3 brothers. He completed his early schooling from Government School Balaghat, after which he enrolled in Jatashankar Trivedi Postgraduate College, Balaghat for higher education and, inspired by the ideas of Swami Vivekananda, joined India's largest student organization, Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad, in which he organized many movements of student interest under his efficient leadership. He received education up to M.A. (Political Science). After this, Shri Kawre joined the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh. He was married to Smt. Kirti Kawre in the year 2009. They have 1 son and 1 daughter. An agriculturist by profession, Mr. Kawre has been interested in social service and cricket since the beginning. Shri Kawre started his political career in 1999 as Panch of Gram Panchayat, Bagholi, District Balaghat and also served as Up-Sarpanch. Shri Kawre won the election of Janpad Panchayat Member in the year 2003 due to his efficient leadership and became the President of Janpad Panchayat, Balaghat. After this, Shri Kawre was appointed as the District President of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha, Balaghat, in the year 2006.

Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan

In the year 2008, Mr. Kawre won the election for the first time from the Paraswada Assembly Constituency and was elected as a member of the 13th Assembly. Due to his efficient leadership, Shri Kawre's influence in the organization went on rising and the state organization gave him the responsibility of State General Secretary of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha in the year 2010.

Shri Kawre was elected a member for the second time in the year 2018 from the Paraswada Assembly Constituency. On July 2, 2020, he took oath as Minister of State in the Cabinet of Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan. Mr. Kawre was given the responsibility of Ministry of AYUSH (Independent Charge) and Water Resources. During the Corona period, under the leadership of Shri Kawre, the Department of AYUSH did commendable work. During the Corona pandemic, the AYUSH Department undertook major steps towards boosting immunity through Ayurved, Homoeopathy, Unani, and Yoga. It also played an important role in the control of Corona through drugs such as Trikatu Kadha and Aarogya Kasaayan.
